PJSC Mostotrest pays close attention not only to its financial performance but also to the social and environmental impact of its activities.

The Company adopted a corporate quality, OHS and environmental protection policy. The Company runs dedicated OHS and environmental protection departments under the CEO Office and in regional subsidiaries.

Labor Safety policy includes regular monitoring and assessment of working conditions at the Company's production facilities, training and examination of personnel, investing in measures to improve working conditions.

Employee health rehabilitation and recreation are covered by a dedicated comprehensive corporate program including compulsory and supplementary health insurance, paid medical spa treatment courses and medical examinations, as well as activities aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle. For industrial safety purposes the Company makes every effort to minimise workplace injuries and occupational diseases and prevent industrial accidents.

Strict compliance with existing Russian environmental legislation limits the negative impact of the Company’s activities on the environment. The Company abides by the «pay-to-pollute» regime (Federal Law No. 7-FZ) administered by the Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (the FSETNS) and local authorities, under which companies are required to obtain licences and permits authorising the discharge of pollutants into the air, water or soil.

The Company produces various types of waste, which are all removed by third-party waste disposal contractors. Mostotrest is therefore also governed by Federal Law No. 89-FZ «On Wastes of Production and Consumption» which regulates waste management with a view to preventing the detrimental effects of wastes on public health and protecting the environment. Under the Wastes Disposal Law, any activities relating to collection, utilisation, neutralisation, transportation and disposal of waste of certain classes of hazards are also subject to licensing.

In addition, all specific safety rules and regulations are observed while constructing, including rules and regulations on road safety, railway safety, life and health safety of individuals, fire safety, environmental safety, sanitation and epidemiological safety of the population and others.
