The first construction stage of the bridge over the Don River in Rostov-on-Don toward ul. Siversa, which will connect the city centre with the second kilometre of the Southern Approach to Rostov-on-Don federal motorway, is scheduled for completion on December 1 of this year.
Expert forecasts show that the bridge’s carrying capacity will exceed 60 thousand cars per day.
At the same time, solving the transport problem in Rostov-on-Don once and for all is possible only when the second construction stage is commissioned. This implies widening the Southern Approach to the Rostov-on-Don federal motorway section to eight lanes. The section length is 4 km, and the cost of the second stage is roughly two billion roubles.
