Lightning-fast renovation of Khabarovsk–Vladivostok M-60 federal motorway

Intense work is under way in a suburb of Vladivostok that aims to reconstruct the M-60 Ussuri motorway (Khabarovsk – Vladivostok) and to create a Novy – de Friz – Sedanka relief road. The road section marking the 733–752 kilometres part is scheduled for reconstruction. The highway construction is stipulated by the federal target program for the development of Vladivostok as a centre for international cooperation in the Asian-Pacific region. The motorway will have six-lanes of uninterrupted traffic.

Keep in mind that the M-60 Ussuri motorway between Khabarovsk – Vladivostok is a subset of Transsib, a Eurasian transport corridor: Berlin (Germany) – Warsaw (Poland) – Minsk (Belarus) – Moscow – Yekaterinburg – Vladivostok – Nakhodka; it plays an important strategic and economic role, serves as the main transport corridor for the Southern Far East, interconnects the Primorsky region districts, and links them with the Khabarovsk region. It also couples the Primorsky region with the Amur federal motorway between Chita–Khabarovsk.

In 2010, 167 million roubles have been allotted for reconstructing the Knevichi airport motorway and Khabarovsk-Vladivostok M60 federal motorway, with 60 coming from the Primorsky region budget.
