New bridge across Neva to be built in St Petersburg

The construction of the Novo-Admiralteisky (New Admiralty) bridge across Bolshaya Neva in St Petersburg will begin in 2010. This announcement was made to journalists by Boris Murashov, a city council representative for transport infrastructure development. He said that the planned bridge will be aligned between the 16-17th and the 18-19th lines (streets) of Vasilyevsky Island. The length of the six-lane bridge will be 277 metres; its width will be 32 metres. Construction is expected to be completed in 2013.
