Construction at Big Leningradka will be nearly complete by year’s end
Moscow authorities have allotted additional 22 billion roubles for the construction of roads in the city, bringing the total for 2010 to 56 billion roubles. A sizeable portion of these funds will be spent on the Big Leningradka project. The mayor’s administration has assured that a new bridge across the Moscow Canal will be opened up by September. Simultaneously, repairs on the old bridge will commence. Reconstruction of the Leningradsky prospekt interchange with the Leningradskoye and Volokalamskoye motorways is expected to be completed by the end of the year; a part of the Alabyano-Baltiysky tunnel will be opened.
