“Both tunnels are constructed. As soon as the documents are executed, the second section will be unveiled,” the Deputy Mayor said. He added that the delay in finalising the documents is due to a change in the contractor. “Documents are now being accepted following contractor change. Many of the papers have been left with the previous contractor and must be retrieved,” Mr Khusnullin said.
The area around the construction site will be developed in spring when the snow melts, the Deputy Mayor said.
Traffic on the Alabyano-Baltiisky tunnel now only proceeds from Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street toward Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street.
Mr Khusnullin said the construction of the Kotelniki metro station on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya Line is 98-percent complete. “Documents are being executed and the station is becoming operational in a test mode. In the next one or two months it will be opened,” he said.
By summer, plans include opening the Rumyantsevo and Salaryevo metro stations on the Sokolnicheskaya Line. By the end of the year, the plans are to put three new stations into operation on the Maryina Roshcha-Petrovsko-Razumovskaya section of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line.
Metro and transport infrastructure construction was conducted in line with the schedule starting 4 January. “The construction of all the planned venues has been launched. A tender was conducted to choose a construction company for building the Profsoyuznaya Street-Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) interchange. Construction will start soon. The winner will be announced in just a few days,” the Deputy Mayor said.
Mr Khusnullin said nearly 600,000 square metres of real estate have been accepted into service. “The process of accepting new real estate built by investors or with budgetary funds into service was launched last year. In January, 600,000 square metres of real estate was accepted for further use. This is quite a good result,” he concluded.
