Kurortny Avenue Relief Road in Sochi (2009-2013)

Construction of the first and second phases of Kurortny Avenue Relief Road between 172nd kilometre of the M-27 “Dzhubga-Sochi” Highway (Psahe river) and the PK0 Sochi bypass (Agura river) including reconstruction of a section of the road between Zemlyanichnaya Street and Kurortniy Avenue, Sochi.

The first phase of the Kurortny Avenue alternate route (from the river Agura to Zemlyanichnaya Street):

  • Two flyovers with a total length of more 2.3 km (2.2 km and 100 m, respectively) and the height of up to 24 m;
  • The number of lanes is 2 (one-way).

The second phase of Kurortny Avenue Relief Road (from Zemlyanichnaya Street to the river Sochi):

  • Three pairs of two-lane tunnels with a total length of more than 4 km, 2 flyovers (at Zemlyanichnaya Street and the Arena junction) with the height of up to 20 m, the bridge over the river Vereschaginka, an overpass across Fabricius Street, and 2 multilevel interchanges (at Razdolnaya Street and at the intersection with Fabricius Street);
  • The total length of artificial structures is more than 7.5 km;
  • The total length of the route is 5.3 miles;
  • The number of lanes is 4 (2 in each direction).

The third phase of the Kurortny Avenue Relief Road (from the river Sochi to the river Psakhe):

  • Three pairs of two-lane tunnels with a total length of more than 5.8 km, a flyover with a total length of more 1 km and the height of up to 7 m, a multilevel road junction with a bridge across the river Psakhe;
  • The total length of artificial structures is more than 7.1 km;
  • The total length of the route is 5.6 km;
  • The number of lanes is 4 (2 in each direction).
