PJSC Mostotrest is the first integrated diversified infrastructure holding in Russia and the largest building company in the Russian Federation by revenue for works conducted in-house, according to independent industry consultant EMBS Group.

The company specialises in the construction and overhaul of road, rail and city bridges and highways, as well as other engineering constructions; providing services in maintenance, repair and toll-based operation; investing in infrastructure projects.

The Company was founded in 1930 under the name of the All-Soviet Trust for the construction of extra large bridges «Mostotrest». To date the company has completed over 7,700 bridges, foot bridges, tunnels and complex transport interchanges. 

Some of the more recent landmark projects include Zhivopisny bridge over the Moscow River in Serebriany Bor, a cable-stayed bridge over the Oka river near Murom, Pulkovo traffic interchange and and Bolshoi Obukhovskiy bridge over Neva River in St. Petersburg, sections of M-4 “Don” (Voronezh Bypass, Novaya Usman and Rogachevka Bypass), sections of M-11 “Moscow – St. Petersburg” (Vyshniy Volochek Bypass, km 15 - km 58 section), Businovskaya traffic interchange, among others.

Mostotrest is currently involved in some of Russia’s largest infrastructure development projects. Particularly, Mostotrest also continues its work on the Kerch Strait Bridge construction, on a section of the Fourth Transport Ring Road in Moscow, the M4 “Don”, M9 “Baltic”, M11 “Narva” highways segments as well as segments of a new M-11 “Moscow – St. Petersburg” Highway.

The effective implementation of its business strategy, extensive track record and strong reputation as a reliable and experienced contractor in the infrastructure construction sector have allowed the Company to increase the amount of completed work and strengthen its position as a general contractor.

Mostotrest employs over 30,000 personnel and operates through fifteen branches and five subsidiaries (including the recently acquired entities).

Possession of 84% stake in LLC Transstroymekhanisatsiya and a non-controlling equity interest in OJSC Mostostroy-11 significantly strengthened Mostotrest’s position in construction of highways, railways, airports and ports segments, and also expanded its presence in major Russian regions such as the Urals, the Siberian and the Far Eastern Federal Districts.

Acquisition of 60% stake in Mostotrest-Service, creation of a joint venture between Mostotrest-Service and Autobahn, a Russian-German joint venture and Mostotrest/Vinci joint participation in United Toll Systems were parts of Mostotrest’s strategy for expanding and strengthening its business in related business segments, including toll road operation.

Mostotrest is a Member of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering — IABSE and the European Federation of Foundation Contractors — EFFC.
